FRIENDS-ONLY EVENTS
In 2022, the ADAH began hosting special events exclusively for members of the Friends of the Alabama Archives. From behind-the-scenes tours to themed events centered on the ADAH's collections, these Friends-only events allow members to enjoy fellowship with each other and to dig into Alabama's past together through the special offerings of the ADAH.

​Tea & Textiles: An Afternoon of Fashion!
In this special in-person event just for Friends of the Alabama Archives, members enjoyed tea and refreshments with Alabama Department of Archives & History curators and examined fashion history through the lens of the Archives’ collections. A behind-the-scenes look at items not currently on display in the Museum of Alabama included governors’ pocketwatches and 1930s jumpsuits to swimwear, country music star outfits, and more!
